Sunday’s Workshops: Yoga for Athletes and Ayurveda
Have you met Erin Barry, a longtime teacher in Bloomfield? She will make you laugh; she may make you cry (she’s tough in a good way); and she will teach you something about yourself and your practice that you did not know. Study with her more deeply during her 2-hour workshop this weekend called Yoga for Athletes. Erin is a marathon runner, professional dancer and former gymnist, and she has years of experience training athletes from all different backgrounds.
Yoga compliments every sport. It offers the body–and mind–lengthening and strengthening for lifelong endurance and mobility. This weekend, open your hamstrings, hips and shoulders and learn breathwork that will enhance your workouts–and life–with Erin Barry.
The season is changing, so get your ayurveda on. Are you a kapha, vata or pitta? Or all three? Find out at Denise Egan‘s workshop this Sunday called Yoga & Ayurveda for the Dosha at PFY Westwood. You will practice yoga tailored to your dosha and also learn about mudras, mantras and music. Denise plays the harmonium, which is a treat. She wants you to use Ayuvedic techniques to bring more harmony, balance and bliss to your life.
