Lifelong Yoga with Melissa Anderson

Series Description: “Lifelong Yoga” a 4 week series , will maximize one’s Flexibility , Balance , Core and Mental well-being in your 50’s, 60’s and beyond. Practicing this “Lifelong Yoga”, uses simple basic yoga poses, meditation and breathe.  It will build mental and physical strength, enabling oneself to continue movement for all body ages ,keeping one active, full of energy and an opportunity of life long wellness. This series will also involve meditation which enables cognitive thinking – the ability to see things from multiple perspectives and break away from habitual behaviors. Learning simple Yoga routines and poses will keep oneself moving gracefully as you age. Exploring the joys of breathing techniques and meditation will provide increase energy, vitality and mental clarity. “Lifelong Yoga” will enhance one’s life tremendously and provide endless possibilities of well-ness at any age! This class will be warm at 80-85 degrees.

Teacher Bio: Melissa Jeannne Anderson , RYT 200 , obtaining   a B.S.  in Recreational Therapy and Physical Education from Boston University been a student of Yoga for over 15 years.  Melissa was initially drawn to the Yoga practice as a way to offset the stress her body and mind endured from her 40 year career as a Senior International Airline Flight Attendant ; a life of constant travel , jet lag and endless hours on her feet.  Yoga became Melissa’s saving grace. She credits Powerflow Yoga with building her a strong foundation that has kept her feeling great now in her 60’s. She is a form believer that Yoga is a lifelong practice and take you through your 50’s , 60’s and beyond with ease. She thanks Yoga for keeping her joints healthy and mind vibrant so she can be the  best and active Mother to her children and  an asset  to her Grandson , all obtaining quality of life !
