Flexibility Training is 2-hour workshop all about mobility; exploring safe ways to increase our active range within yoga practice. We’ll cover functional range strength work, contract-release stretching, and passive stretch. The workshop will give modifications and variations of common stretches that show up in yoga classes- particularly forward folds, backbends, binds, and deep lunges/hip stretches. Flexibility Training is open to all levels, but aimed particularly at beginners. The workshop follows the format of a vinyasa yoga class, with time for explanations and experimenting. It’s an introduction to what beginners can expect going into a Power class and how they can modify postures for their own bodies. More advanced practitioners will learn different ways to challenge their flexibility in familiar postures.
